Transcending Adolescence is dedicated to empowering LGBTQ+ youth through mental health focused programming, outdoor recreation, summer camps and retreats.
Over the next few years, we plan to expand our reach beyond summer only programming and beyond the state of Florida. Our plans to expand include the addition of youth backpacking trips with highly qualified guides and TA staff; retreat sessions for youth, families and entire LGBTQ+ community; and the purchase of our own safe and accommodating camp property. To accomplish this goal, we will need your support.
As we are all painfully aware, transgender people are facing alarming social and political challenges in many states across the country. These youth require resilience now more than ever. We hope to fill that void and provide a place where they feel safe, secure and protected. We want to make sure that our retreat sessions are available to all, regardless of income. We are currently seeking grant funding and recruiting spearhead donors to help us provide this experience to all who need it.
